If the IP address of your Mac changes frequently, you can enable the Riverfold-hosted bookmark feature. This works by reserving a special URL on a Riverfold server that redirects to your actual Mac running Wii Transfer. You can then add the URL to the Internet Channel's Favorites.
To get started, click the "Register bookmark URL name" checkbox and enter a short name or keyword that you can remember. By default Wii Transfer will auto-fill this field with your computer's username. If this name is taken, just enter a new one and hit the return key.
Next, use the Internet Channel on your Wii to enter the new bookmark URL. When the page loads, click the "Click here to bookmark" link and then follow the instructions for using the Wii's Favorites button to add the current page. If the "Click here to bookmark" link has been hidden, you can reset it by unchecking and then re-checking "Register bookmark URL name" in Wii Transfer's Music and Pictures pane.
It is important to note that no songs or photos are actually sent through Riverfold's servers. The bookmark URL is only a convenient way to access your computer's IP address.
This feature is not available in the demo version of Wii Transfer because your serial number must be sent to Riverfold to uniquely identify your bookmark name. This prevents other people from registering the same name after you have reserved it.
If you are concerned about privacy and do not wish your serial number or bookmark name to be sent to Riverfold, please disable the bookmark feature. (It is off by default.) Sharing will continue to work.
